Description

A Framework for Evolving Your Practice

The Value-Adding Process course offers an opportunity to examine our professional practices and offerings in a deep and sustained way. Using a sophisticated framework, participants will engage in a rigorous mapping of the entire process of conceptualizing, creating, and integrating their work into the world, and then evolve that process to become less linear and more systemic, identifying multiple opportunities to influence the systems we’re working in.

Through this way of working on the process of delivering professional offerings, even small projects or initiatives can produce disproportionately powerful effects. From a value-adding perspective, finding large-scale projects to work on is less important than the intelligence we are able to embed into new patterns of how we work and what we create.

As practitioners, many of us struggle with questions like: “How can I change the world from within my discipline or field?” or “If my ambition is to work regeneratively, do I need to change careers?” The Value-Adding Process framework speaks directly to these questions, offering a path by which evolving one’s practice is the way to transform one’s field, and all of the systems that it impacts.
