| Why do you think this project is appropriate for the course assignment? | This residential building was well-intended and set-up to be an incredible precedent for sustainable living and mixed-use development. As much as this community building is looked up to for sustainability, I'd love to explore ways in which it could be improved for even better success. I'd love to see how a regenerative approach was, could have been, and still can be incorporated. Once we sift through all angles of the design process, I'd love to see this already exceptional concept to be improved for the well-being of all living things (wildlife, community, living systems, etc.) it affects, so the most optimal approach can be replicated in every city and community to become the new normal to development and living. |
| Additional Useful Information | This community is also along a Rails-to-Trails project and also near a college campus. There was a slow-down of development from backlash from the community. We are looking forward to exploring more. Website for the community: https://zeroplace.com/ |
