Working Title of The Project (which we will use to refer to it throughout the series)

Salt Lake Valley Watershed Management Plan

Project Location

Salt Lake Valley Area and Seven Canyons

Nature of The Project (e.g. building, new community, economic development, etc.)

An update to the watershed management plan to protect the sources of water for the Salt Lake valley area through policy developed with key stakeholders. It's a multi-stakeholder effort to create policy conditions that outline the appropriate uses and activities of our water to preserve it's source - which is the alpine ecosystem that the city is nested within.

Why do you think this project is appropriate for the course assignment?

It involves bringing multiple perspectives together to form an approach to future development of Salt Lake City - a good opportunity to imagine a stakeholder guild with a regenerative purpose and roles. This opportunity for collaboration and the open-endedness of a "watershed management plan" to involve interdisciplinary elements of use, guidelines for stewardship, and limitations for economic development make it open for regenerative potential and share imaging of an ideal future between many stakeholders that may have inherent conflicts in the current paradigm.
