Cohort AssignmentAmericas with In-Person Intensive in Santa Fe, Fall-Winter 2023
1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

At this stage of my life, I see my primary work as helping to evolve human consciousness. I want to help re-awaken people to a felt sense of connection with the earth and our interconnectedness. I am still working out what this looks like practically. I have been deep in my own personal development journey, studying many types of movement and healing modalities, as well as group relational work. I would like to facilitate grief work, conscious communication, emotional healing, mindset rewiring, embodiment practices, permaculture/ecological knowledge, and more. The ultimate goal of this is to seed and create regenerative cultures. I would like to bridge my scientific/analytical mind by bringing this to corporate spaces or design teams to enable/empower new possibilities.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

Activator is one role that I see as mine to play - which means activating others into new perspectives, mindsets, and possibilities. Evolutionary is another role - helping to evolve human consciousness towards collaboration, connection, and compassion. Through both of these, teacher and transformational guide are other major roles.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

- I would like to build confidence in my ability to offer these things to professional teams by practicing delivering content and developing/curating curriculums.
- Before the end of my cohort, I would like to have at least 1 professional contract underway for consulting work

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

- Cultivating my voice
- Trusting that I have enough knowledge and can start, and don't need to "know everything" to begin
- Finding committed collaborators with a shared vision

5. And for professional growth?

- Creating my own consulting firm and beginning client work
- Re-invigorating my passion for this work by finding interesting projects

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I have invested in a lot of non-traditional education to help me expand my own ways of thinking, authentic relating trainings, facilitation trainings, permaculture design course, time spent researching and reading

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

- deep ecology
- Joanna Macy
- Bill Plotkin
- permaculture
- ecovillage design
- psychology
- cultural studies
- intuitive movement (5 rhythms, Gabrielle Roth)
- indigenous perspectives
- Robin Wall Kimmerer
- Sophie Strand
- embodied ecology (tracking, sensory awareness, etc)

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

Humans are participants in life and stewards of life. We are awareness functions for consciousness and evolution. I believe in an alive, animate intelligence of Life that is creative and emergent.
