1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

My primary work is design, I work in a design firm based in Costa Rica and we focus our work in this context. We provide a range of services which aim to connect humans to the ecosystem they are interacting with and create beneficial relationships.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

My role is to connect projects to the local ecosystem and culture, I work mostly with foreigners that have not spent much time in the area and are usually looking to develop the land in some way either personal home, condominium housing, farming or larger developments which include all the previous uses.

Be the link which allows stakeholders to make the best possible informed decissions related to ecosystems and local culture.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I would be excited to bring in more depth and understanding around the importance of making decissions according to local culture, watershed and landforms rather than development capacity and prime Ocean views. Also make the invitations to these changes inspiring rather than pointing out why the actions done are not ethical or antiecological for example.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

I would like to grow in confirdence to deliver a message I believe in, also develop deep connections with people I work with without feeling like it is sucking my energy and create clear limits to know where to step back and avoid putting energy in places where it is not going to produce any results. Greater wisdom to place my energy where it can turn into something beatiful

5. And for professional growth?

For me being able to facilitate a meeting space where stakeholders can feel comfortable to open into new possibilites of making decissions, steping out of the business as usual proposed by other consultants involved as surveyors, architects, engineers and others

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I have invested my time into observing, learning and interacting with people which inspire me and light my passion for what I have to bring into life. This has happened in different ways such as courses, work in farms, consulting partnerships and working with people that inspire me as do my partners in Povernir Design. At this point of our work we have the privilege of deciding which projects inspire us

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

In a chronological order: management of natural resources, organic agriculture, permaculture, spirituality.

Thinkers: Indigenous knowledge from all America red road, mayas, bribris, tupi guarani. Also Jesus, Buda, M. Fukuoka, W. Berry, D. Holmgren, V. Shiva, C. Eisenstein, A. Primavesi

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

My life is guided by a belief that all is connected big or small.... like to call it the Great Mystery as I heard someone once say. Humans are important as everything else is, I find infinite inspiration in nature and try constantly to erase from my mind imaginary divisions between humans and nature.

Also feel very connected to the ideology from Qechuas called Sumak Kawsay or Buen Vivir in Spanish.
