1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life? | I am an architect, a parent and an educator. My primary work in all roles requires me to listen and to understand and to provide advice and opinion without forcefully taking control of situations. My role is to help uncover ways forward for myself and for others. |
2. What role do you see as yours to play? | I see my role as one to facilitate others to find their answer in the situation. To prompt thinking and invite conversation |
3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above? | I would like to be better at helping others find their answer and to not guide or frame a topic through my own prejudices. |
4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are? | I am not sure |
5. And for professional growth? | I feel i have a lot more personal growth in understanding the semantics of ideas and combining these with the objective thoughts. |
6. What have you invested in to get you where you are? | I have invested in time - mine and others, experience, money, resources and experiences. I have invested in thought and learning and learning about myself and my limitations and ways to overcome them, for instance, doing stand-up comedy to deal with presentation anxiety and what that feeds on in me and why. |
7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life? | Architecture/design thinking and legal problem solving have been important fields of learning, in philosophy, Platon Nietzsche, Virilio and Deleuze influenced my thinking |
8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it? | No I can't frame it succinctly. But, humans play a part role in it as creators and destroyers, effectively destroying to create, but as temporary inhabitants of this planet. we haven't been here forever and we won't continue to be forever, but we will continue to destroy and create while we are here. Our role on the planet should be as custodians of the physical and non-physical parts of our environment. |
