1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

Resourcing colleagues, clients and stakeholders to shift and to deepen capacity and capabilities in living systems worldview, so that our work in the built environment has deeper and lasting regenerative impacts

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

Primarily my role will be resourcing the staff at Ashley McGraw Architects and finding my own right role to play in the lives of my grandchildren, children and the place that I live in the Finger Lakes watershed

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I wanted to develop my capacity and capabilities to see the dynamic working and relationships of the living systems I am nested in and engage with, so that I can understand where I can make a value adding contribution

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Understanding and evolving my own essence potential

5. And for professional growth?

Deepen my understanding of how best to bring regeneration to an organization and those they serve in a meaningful way. Specifically to Ashley McGraw Architects and the bright young minds that come through our doors.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I have been a practicing architect for almost 40 years. I have been invested in trying to “do goods” since before LEED. I’ve worked on many projects that have attempted to move beyond “standard” and aspired to be “more sustainable”.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

David Ashley-the potential of design to be less harmful to the earth and bring both functionality and beauty to all people. He introduced me to sustainability and LEED
Jason McLennan introduced me to the principles of Living Building and the many founders of that movement
Josie Plaut introduced me to the LENSES framework for regenerative development. Josie is a dear friend and resource.
Bill Reed and a few others at ReGenesis that have challenged my thinking.
Carol Sanford Institute working with frameworks on living systems thinking. I’ve worked with Carol in the Change Agent Development Community for almost 5 years and with other leaders at Ashley McGraw in The Regenerative Business Development Community for 3 years.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

All living systems are connected at some level (directly/indirectly). Living systems are dynamic, evolving or degrading. I believe the role humans can play is to deepen understand of living systems working in dynamic relationship, and how our actions and/or inactions can allow living systems (including us) to evolve their unique potential.
