Curiosity and myself

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

I'm not sure how to summarize so here are some books and people that come to mind that have greatly resonated or impacted my being over the past 12 years:
- The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer
- The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff
- Women Who Run with Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
- The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk
- The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible by Charles Eisenstein
- Esther Perel (https://www.estherperel.com/)

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

Wowza we are going right into it here. Life. I don't think we know enough to know. I am spiritual, and I know there is something else/more other than what we 'see' as humans. I also believe we put too much into science and too little into intuition. Meaning I think there is so much more out there that we don't have the mental or physical capacity to measure or detect, and it would be very foolish to think we know all there is to know, or that things don't exist simply because we mere mortals cannot detect them. So, with that, I have no idea how we humans came to be next to trees and fish, but I'm sure happy to be here.
What is our role? Holy cow I don't know, and maybe that's part of my problem. I believe we are supposed to live in harmony with the earth and other beings and we surely are not currently doing so in our consumeristic and capitalistic society- leading to a lot of stress and harm and breakdown. I believe that if humans are balanced and contributing to a community larger than the I, and living simply there is more selflessness and less stress. It makes us better people and we contribute more of our soul to the world which makes it a better place. What role all of this is in the grand scheme? I cannot say.
