1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

My current work is as a studio director for a small architectural studio within a larger company. While that is what I do, the aspects of it that I find most satisfying are working with clients to determine what they need to accomplish and then helping them reach those goals.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

My role is the coordinator, I make the connections between all the groups involved in a project. I help ensure the project goes smoothly and resolve any issues during the design process.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I really like focusing on the collaboration between the different team members both inside my company and within the project team. My goal is always to ensure the project gets completed with a positive outcome and that the team wants to work together again.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Learning what it means to be a facilitator and working on those skills.

5. And for professional growth?

I want to expand more into facilitation and collaboration roles. I currently spend a lot of time on projects and I'd rather spend my time on people and communication.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

Getting my architects license has been a big commitment and working toward improving my skills at project management and how I communicate with others. I've also spent a lot of time over the last couple of years thinking about what it means to be a good leader and working on modeling that behavior.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

Buckminster Fuller has had a big impact on my thinking and philosophy. I saw pictures and examples of his geodesic domes and car early in life.
The Organic and farming industry has also been an area where I have both an interesting theoretical knowledge and lack of hands on experience. My father helped write the Organic Standards and has been influential in the field throughout my life. He would talk about it at the dinner table and take us to trade shows. That definitely influenced my thinking.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

Life is an interconnected web of electrical signals that coalesce and interact with each other to create amazing and beautiful moments. Humans are part of the web.
