1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

End of last year I've made a conscious decision to quit my management consulting job. At the moment exploring options for a new role, likely in the (semi)public space related to the transition to a more regenerative and fair food system.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

I'm somebody who is able to build strong relationships and I would love to play a role in connecting people on a deeper level, in order to support the very necessary system transformation.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

At the moment I'm looking for a role where I can contribute to 'solving' larger societal challenges, which requires a system perspective. I would really like to grow as a person and leader, e.g. becoming able to see and grow the potential in myself and others, so together we can work on these challenges.

Also, coming from management consultancy, my focus has been more mechanistic, solving a problem in structured way (focused on parts of the problem). I would like become able to see complexity and challenges as they really are, in order to create true long-lasting results (not just quick fixes).

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Finding more inner peace

5. And for professional growth?

Learning about and applying the concept of regeneration in my line of work (can be both implicitly or explicitly)

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I've put quite some effort in personal development on the various dimensions (e.g. physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually). Actually earlier this afternoon got a call from my mother who mentioned that she really sees this growth in me. (note: my childhood was not very easy, so maybe that pushed me a bit)

Professionally I've worked pretty hard to get where I'm at. However, I'm also very conscious that the way we are currently living as humanity is, I would say, insane. I have changed my personal lifestyle to the extend possible, but would like to learn how I could further increase my impact (and maybe enhance consciousness in other people).

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

For example:
Spirituality / Psychology - Eckart Tolle, Alan Watts, Carl Jung
Systems thinking - Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer, Donella Meadows
Sustainability - Jason Hickel, George Monbiot
Other - Einstein, Rumi, Jeremy Lent

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

It is quite a wonder to be alive, and we are only here for a very limited amount of time. We should treasure this time and I aim to be very conscious of this.
Also, I believe we are all connected, not only as humans, but with everything on our planet. As humans we have lost this connection, putting ourselves on top of the hierarchy. I do believe we can restore this connection, which we we have to in order to solve some of the large societal challenges.
