1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

My primary work today is demonstrating regenerative development and placemaking in all that I create, build and develop in the world currently focused on 3 specific projects and one regenerative development fund called the Future of Cities Portugal Golden Visa Fund. The 3 projects are ChoZen Retreat, The FOC Climate and Innovation HUB - Little Haiti & The Phoenix Arts & Innovation District in Springfield Jacksonvile, Florida.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

I see my role as a track record real estate investor, broker, developer and regenerative placemaker and as a thought leader in the space helping others to be inspired to think outside the box, use the tools of regenerative systems thinking to create better more inclusive, sustainable and beautiful places.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I hope to publish my first book this year and finish fundraising for the above projects.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

I am doing a lot of inner spiritual work, meditation, breathwork, spending lots of time in nature at our retreat center and focusing on personal and professional development. Taking this course is important for my inner growth as I have tremendous respect for the work Regenisis does and provides for the world. I've been friends with Bill Reed for years and he has been an advisor and mentor for Future of Cities, the company I started 5 years ago.

5. And for professional growth?

For professional growth, I am growing my capacity to share my experiences and demonstration projects and codify the work we have been doing now for 15+ years in South Florida, co-creating and curating and shaping neighborhoods like the Wynwood Arts District, Magic City Innovation District and now the Phoenix Arts & Innovation District. I feel this course is important for my professional growth and I have a vision of working more closely with Regenisis and the members and faculty to spread this systems thinking apporach to more people around the globe and ultimately plan to have a large global real estate fund to seed game changing regenerative projects around the world.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I've been working since I was 13, mowing lawns, making urns, waitig tables and eventually being a night club promoter as a teen in Argentina and then in Miami, NYC.
I entered the real estate business in 2000, when I got my license and have been a leader in Miami's urban core rennaissance for the past 24 years. I have made money and lost money and continue to sharpen my skills through each challenge I encounter. I launched the first green building resource center in Florida in 2005, and most people didn't pay attention then, but now finally, it seems that regenerative thinking is spreading and it's about time! I've been all in in developing myself, my career and plan to go deeper into theory and apply the theory more intentionally to my practice.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

I have been focused primarily on the green building industry and have been inspired by great thinkers like Buckminster Fuller,

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

My philosphy on life is pretty simple. I believe that each person should be sovereign in their thinking and path so long as they are in right relationship with one another and with nature. Humans have the opportunity to transcend our self-interested, self-destructive behavior by connecting with nature and with their own inner nature to understand how to be in balance with themselves and nature.
