Cohort AssignmentAotearoa (New Zealand) Hybrid In-Person/Online with Intensive in Auckland, Winter-Spring 2024
1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

I am forever seeking new opportunities and ways to deliver community empowerment and engagement as the world have been changing, myself have also been changing. I have been doing community development work for more than 10 years and I am keen to find ways to support communities in an innovative way, while resources are scares and we are becoming more diverse.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

I see myself as a connector and supporter. Not for me to deliver but support others to achieve their drams.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I don't have a goal and aim, it is what I can do to support.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

I have only been formally diagnosed with ADHD and suspected to have AuDHD and naturally I noticed a lot o neurodiverse communities. I would love to look at different ways of doing things. Working in a Local Government with system and bureaucracy is a challenge but also comfort, but how does that translate to the community. I also wanted to see us looking at more diverse communities engagement.

5. And for professional growth?

As someone who is neurodiverse, I'd love to know how this could translate an work for me.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I have IAP2 certificate, I have learnt most of my skills through the job, and am constantly learning but not formally.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

I don't stop learning because of my curiosity and my need to be constantly stimulated. So I can't think of one

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

No - I can't frame it. I think everyone is here in this earth for a reason and whatever contract that they have signed with the univese. Some wanted just to live a "normal life", to have family and work. Some wanted to be an advocate like myself, who wanted to do more, for ourselves or others. Some just want it for themselves and have an awesome day. The fact that the diversity means we are all very different and we are all on a spectrum, irrespective of gender, neurology, ethnicity, etc etc.
