1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

My primary work right now is as a learner and teacher. I am a lecturer-researcher at university. I currently teach first year students about critical and analytical skills, and I am starting my PhD research on regenerative learning/education, particularly how to help students meaningfully and regeneratively connect to communities.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

As a steward of regenerative ecologies.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I want to continue learning about regenerative learning and education itself, for my own development and for others.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Re-connecting and being aware of the whole ecological system, especially in terms of embodied knowledge. I would also like to feel more empowered to take regenerative action.

5. And for professional growth?

Become more knowledgeable about regeneration, especially in terms of learning and education. I am currently a lecturer-researcher, and I would like to more and more be able to understand how to teach regeneration in a regenerative manner.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I am not sure about this question, but as I interpret it now, this is my answer: I have studied for many years, trying to figure out how to best help society to become resilient. Throughout the last years, in particular, I have made a lot of uncomfortable decisions as I moved away from that learned mindset towards regeneration, which is, to me, a more natural answer to our problem. It was also important to me to be able to include other living creatures in my idea of resilience, which regeneration does well.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

Psychology, sociology, philosophy, and education have been very important in my life. People in these fields who have an activist mindset have become quite important in my life, like bell hooks and Paulo Freire.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

I am still developing my philosophy/cosmology of life. The role humans play in it is clear to me, though, and that is as stewards of the ecologies they call home.
