1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

I’m a communications manager within the lifestyle, sport & fashion segment. My skills and experiences are ranging from brand development, PR, strategy and content creation, events, collaborations and collection developments, store and market launches, media relations, reputation management, employer branding, CSR and internal communication.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

It’s my aim to use my communication skills in a more meaningful way moving forward. During the last year, I realized that what I’ve learned in my professional work life can also be adapted to more community-driven projects. I’d like to be able to give back and create more impact, rather than chasing sales-driven goals.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

• To challenge myself by stepping out of my comfort zone
• To learn and unlearn
• Teaming up and getting to know people outside my current network with other expertise/experiences and mindsets

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Getting utterly passionate about new possibilities, embracing the unknown and opening my senses for many lightbulbs moments.

5. And for professional growth?

I’m hoping to learn other ways of using my communication skills with new perspectives that go beyond good storytelling or a strong narrative. I’d be ever so grateful if I can develop a stronger sense of the ‘why’ within a project or concept.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

I left my current job in order to focus on a new chapter in my career. It’s been quite a challenging journey to get to the point of no return and saying goodbye to the things I’m familiar with. Having that said, I’m super exciting to start my ‘gap’ autumn and shaping my future path.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

The people who’ve profoundly inspired me are the ones who lead by example - the ones who team up with others, believe in people and go beyond words. One activist who inspired me greatly is Jane Fonda. During her life, she has been a forefront fighter for climate change, long before others were aware of the needs. She’s doing this with the greatest passion and knows how to get others on board. She understands the power of community and is not afraid to break through old truths.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

Wow. I truly hope that this question will come easier to me in the coming 6 months (if not a lifetime...). I need some extra time on this one.
