1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

Currently I am trying to figure out how I want to approach my developing career. I don't like the idea that my job is "just a job"- I continuously find myself in roles that are imbedded in community and sustainability. I feel that there is more inner work to be done in terms of how I engage with the communities I work with/for. I am always seeking balance between communicating what i've learned in academic/work settings vs what a community I work with might already know.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

I see myself as a listener, an active participant, a student, a leader.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I hope to keep gaining more experience communicating principles of sustainable development to all different types of communities, as well as learning how to best understand what work has already begun in the communities I work with.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

patience and grace for myself are things I really want to work on. i think if I address these in my personal life they will have incredible positive effects on my professional life.

5. And for professional growth?

organization, patience, continuing to work on how to communicate affectively with all kinds of people

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

i have invested time into volunteering for issues I care about, gaining new skills and insights that help build my confidence learning and trying new things.I invest a lot of time into connecting with/speaking with changemakers I find inspiring (grabbing a coffee, messaging on linkedin). It can be daunting to constantly read news/keep up with changes in the industries i work in- speaking with friends/colleagues/mentors makes me feel like im more actively engaging with my network and personal education.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

julian agyeman
wendell berry
JUST Design group in SF
Kirsten Weeks

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

this might be too big of a question for me right now! I have recently experienced an immense amount of grief back to back, so my philosophy on life is very up in the air/turned on its head.
