1. What do you see as your primary work at this stage of your life?

Since the birth of my daughters, they have become my priority (they are not my work, but they are the most important part of my life).
I am currently working at the University of Costa Rica.

2. What role do you see as yours to play?

I am a lecturer in the Sociology Section at the School of General Studies at the University of Costa Rica. My roles are to provoke questions, stimulate critical thinking, and facilitate dialogue among young people from all over the country and various academic disciplines.

3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

I hope that students come to class with an interest in the university, eager to participate in debates, enjoying reading, and motivated to connect the concepts of different authors. I want them to challenge themselves in their academic reflections, to feel capable of participating, and to desire to get involved in the student movement.

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

Organic Agriculture.

5. And for professional growth?

Pursue a doctorate in one of the following fields:

Alternative Conflict Resolution and Social Dialogue
Pedagogy
Art History

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

Time. My volunteer work has opened all the doors and opportunities I am currently enjoying.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

I have been a very blessed woman, growing up surrounded by wonderful adults. Now it’s my time to give back and be a positive role model.

Fields of learning: Ecology, democracy, social dialogue, Earth Charter

Influential thinkers: Paulo Freire, Leonardo Boff, Humberto Maturana.

I have had the privilege of being supported by inspiring leaders who have opened transformative opportunities for me: Mirian Vilela, Victor Montero, Marco Vinicio Zamora, and Lucy Retana. Their trust and guidance have made a significant impact on my journey.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

This questionnaire has been a wonderful experience.

I trust in God and the love and care of Mother Earth, which connect me to a great community of life.
