My philosophy on life, is to live with:
A sense of responsibilty for people and community; Action rather than inaction; Continuously striving to do better; willingness to change. Not go ahead in life without taking a few with you. I dont quite agree with the individualistic frame of mind that many people in American live with (or perhaps in other parts of the world). But I also understand that only when one is happy, healthy and has a roof over their head can they extend their hand to others. So a balance is needed.
