7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

Buddhism, Quakerism, feminism, queer theory, Indigenous wisdom, permacultural thinkers, philosophy, political science, naturalist thinkers. Just observing the changing seasons.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

I believe that humans are expressions of consciousness, that we are consciousness born into physical bodies to experience the physical world. I'm aware that these physical bodies into which we're born contain arguably the most advanced technology on earth: the human brain.

I believe all creatures, plants, and beings-- that this earth, has consciousness. I believe that we are all part of one cloth. I believe humans have the power to propulsively co-create abundance, healing, and creativity on earth, or... we can engage in degrading cycles at our peril and the peril of our mother, this earth. I believe unconscious (sometimes conscious) stories animate our behavior-- dictating which cycle we engage in (regenerative or degrading). Therefore, it's our job to tell compelling, revealing stories to re-align humanity with our purpose and potential.

To quote a favorite musician, Jain: "You got your soul! You got your brain! See what you can do with your hands."
