3. What goals or aims do you have in regard to the above?

Become more aware of the acequia systems by walking/riding all systems in the next 6 months
Meet others in the community who have ongoing projects by attending offerings at Los Poblanos Center
Understand how my project fits into this community of Los Ranchos

4. Where do you feel your next arenas for personal growth are?

At this point and just this last month, I have shed some large responsibilities. My intentions in doing this was to allow myself time for my own work. The past 10 years have been spend completing work for others and processing continual requests for others. I have put that on hold, perhaps permanently. I came to realize that every time I volunteered for something I was taken in a direction and eventually became too involved. Stepping back has been the only way I can start with a clean pallet. I want to grow some of my own ideas now and not be solving problems for an organization at this time.

5. And for professional growth?

My personal growth has taken priority over working for an organization. As mentioned in my goals my plan is to take the next 5 years to focus on redirecting my thoughts and activities into activities that are intensely of interest to me.

6. What have you invested in to get you where you are?

Many years of working for corporations and running my own businesses following the corporate experiences. Raising a family which has been extremely satisfying. I have no complaints about any of those times or activities and all have been fulfilling.

7. What fields of learning and which thinkers have been important in your life?

Systems design and technical understanding of computer systems has set the stage for my early career.
Small business food production became the second phase of my career.
Farming and sheep management became the third phase of my career.
I am now entering the fourth phase of my time. Family has always been a constant thread in these phases and that continues to be a strong component of my life.
Ekhart Tolle has played an important role for me in my small business developments phase and I find his philosophy fits perfectly within my ongoing life.

8. Can you frame your philosophy or cosmology of life? What role(s) do humans play in it?

Living ins such a fast paced and advanced society makes looking at the microscopic sometime difficult. I have been blessed to live my live around biologists, although I am not trained as one myself. From my interactions, my philosophy has been: Always try to frame a business within biological terms and notice the natural world around us, whatever that may be, because doing so will help one make the right decisions for people and environment.
